Maine Tour Team

Championship Season

March Break gives most swimmers a time away from the pool. However, there is an opportunity for qualified swimmers to join Swim Nova Scotia on a tour team to Bowdoin College in Maine, USA for the third meet in Championships Season. 14 and under swimmers are asked to check the Maine Meet Standards (not yet available) to see if they are qualified for consideration for the team. Swim NS will select a number of swimmers from the available qualified swimmer to make the journey to Brunswick, Maine to compete against some of our American counterparts in a Short Course Yards meet.

Application for the Maine Tour Team has opened. Swimmers 11-14 are eligible to apply for the squad. You will find the application document, as well as the travel authorization attached to the event. You will also find the time standards set by the Meet Management team in Maine. A swimmer must have at least one time to be on the Team. If your swimmer does not yet have a time you may still apply, but your status will be subject to qualification.

Swimmers will get a minimum of 4 races plus relays (Bonus Swims are races that the swimmer has not made the qualifying standard)
1 Qualifying Time gets 3 additional Bonus Swims
2 Qualifying Times gets 2 Bonus Swims
3 Qualifying Times gets 1 Bonus Swim
4+ Qualifying times gets 0 Bonus Swims
