Dal Relay and Sprint Review

October 21, 2025

The first race weekend of the 2025-2026 competition season has wrapped! Always a chaotic, but fun and fast way to start the year, SWAT swimmers opened their racing accounts for the season with some strong performances. The team atmosphere on day one with multiple relay races and teams opened the door for some fast individual swimming on Day 2. Results are now posted on the website and at swimrankings.net.

What an outstanding showcase of determination and progress! This group of female athletes delivered remarkable performances across multiple events, with many swimmers achieving double-digit time improvements. From Addison Connors’ jaw-dropping 47-second drop in the 100 Medley to Rachel Black’s incredible 55-second leap in the 50 Breast, these swimmers proved that hard work and consistency pay off. Whether shaving seconds off their fly or backstroke, each swimmer brought their best to the pool. Congratulations to all for your inspiring efforts and well-earned results!

Bravo to our male swimmers who turned up the heat with powerful swims and impressive time drops! Jack Courage and Gavin Holman led the charge with dramatic improvements in their medley and backstroke events, while Isaiah Daniels and Camden Ronaldson stunned with their fly and breaststroke gains. From seasoned competitors like Ethan Kershaw to rising talents like Wyatt Kerrivan, this group showed incredible grit and growth. Your commitment to refining technique and pushing limits is truly commendable—well done, gentlemen!

A special shoutout to Dylan Balmaceda, Tatum Wintermeyer, and Kaylee Kershaw for their standout performances in the 50 Free and 50 Fly events. Tatum and Kaylee posted strong, consistent times across both sprints, while Dylan showed solid effort and promise in his races. These swimmers were also racing for the first time with the club, making their confident performances all the more impressive. This group exemplifies the spirit of perseverance and potential. Keep chasing those personal bests—you’re on a fantastic path, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!

Next up we have AGD 2 Distance in Truro on November 9th and a traditional lineup at Centennial at the SWAT hosted replacement for what was once the Wolfville meet November 22 and 23.
